Opioid Use Disorder

Zalfi provides evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder using Suboxone (buprenorphine). Our goal is to help patients across Indiana safely manage cravings, reduce withdrawal symptoms, and take the first steps toward recovery.

Patients are seen in-person at our Greenwood office when required, and remote appointments may also be offered for convenience.

Understanding Opioid Use Disorder

depressed

Opioid use disorder is a medical condition marked by physical dependence, cravings, and difficulty controlling opioid use, including prescription pain medications or illicit opioids.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines FDA-approved medications like Suboxone with clinical support to help patients reduce cravings, manage withdrawal, and maintain recovery.

Early intervention and consistent support improve outcomes and help patients regain control over their lives.

How Suboxone Treatment Works

  • Suboxone contains buprenorphine, which helps manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms
  • Treatment is personalized based on your medical history and needs
  • Periodic in-person assessments, including urine drug screenings (UDS), may be required to ensure safety and compliance
  • Providers monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed
  • MAT is most effective when combined with therapy, counseling, and behavioral support

Important Compliance & Safety Information

  • Suboxone (MAT) treatment is clinically supervised under federal and Indiana state regulations.
  • Medication is provided only after an individual assessment by a licensed provider.
  • MAT is one component of a comprehensive treatment plan; counseling and behavioral support are recommended.
  • Patients may be required to complete periodic in-person visits or urine drug screenings (UDS) to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Success depends on engagement with your provider, adherence to the treatment plan, and safe use of medication.
  • MAT is not a standalone cure; outcomes vary depending on individual circumstances.

If this is an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
