About Jonathan

Jonathan Robbe is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Indiana. He earned his Master of Social Work from Indiana University South Bend in 2024 and practices under clinical supervision, as required for his current level of licensure.

He has worked with people facing mental health and substance use challenges in community settings, the legal system, colleges, rehabilitation programs and residential treatment, a range that tends to show you how differently the same problem can present depending on where someone is standing.

He is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

How Jonathan works

Jonathan brings both professional and personal understanding to his work. He believes clients know themselves better than anyone else, and his style is approachable, supportive and direct when needed: a space where people can openly explore what is happening and work toward meaningful change.

He believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, genuine and comfortable, more a conversation than a one-sided exchange. He draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered, strength-based, trauma-focused and Family Systems approaches, choosing what fits the person in front of him.
